Minutes of Vestry Meeting
St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church
February 22, 2010
Workshop with Staff:
The workshop with Staff opened with prayer by Fr. Paul at 6:35. The Spiritual Gifts Inventory was completed and results reported; the Enneagram results were discussed; and the experience profile was complete on all present. After dinner, the vestry meeting was called to order.
Vestry Present: Becca Davis, Terry Sands, Beth Bodkin, Dustin Howard, Roy Smith, Scott Kroeger, Barnett Carthey, Paul Harris, Victor Sanchez, Scott Clark, Fr. Paul Moore. Staff and Guests present: Jo Denson, Caroline Sterling, Barbara Snipes, Bill Bodkin, Denise Edmonson, Robert Edmonson, Dr. Hopkins, and Bobbie Hopkins.
The meeting was called to order by Scott Clark, Senior Warden, at 7:40 P.M.
New Business:
Administrative and oversight teams were formed for the new year.
Dustin Howard nominated Paul Harris as Junior Warden. It was seconded by Terry Sands. Paul Harris was unanimously elected.
Beth Bodkin was nominated for secretary by Scott Kroeger but withdrew her name for consideration. Dustin Howard then nominated Charlene Smith as Clerk of the Vestry, seconded by Roy Smith. She was unanimously elected.
Dustin Howard then nominated Bill Bodkin to be CFO, seconded by Paul Harris. He was elected without dissent.
Terry Sands moved to approve the appointment of Caroline Sterling as Outreach Director with Emmitt Hoensee assisting. The motion was seconded by Barnett Carthey. The motion carried.
A resolution thanking the committee leaders and volunteers for their hard work in preparing for Council was presented by Scott Clark. It was passed as amended. (See Attachment)
